Recorded in early December of 1995 at Signal Sound Studios in Quakertown, PA, (In an awful snowstorm and Pneumonia running rampant through the band.)
Vocals: Bill Hottenstein
Guitar: Jim McCloskey
Bass: Joe DeLucasDrums: Mike Harrison
Mike played on Tama drums, Paiste and Zildjian cymbals.
Joe played a red Ibanez Roadstar bass, with an 18″ Peavy bass combo amp.
Jim played a 1991 Gibson Les Paul Studio Light with MIII electronics, a custom Jackson USA of unknown age, with a Marshall 2-channel solid state preamp, Hughes & Kettner power amp, and a Marshall 1960A 4×12 cabinet (eventually replaced with dual Laney 2×10″ cabinets because that 1960A was *heavy*).
Bill had a pencil.
Bad Hat’s first – and only – “full length” album "PigDog Farm". 9 original tracks were recorded (though only 8 were circulated, as Missing Pieces was incomplete and the band ran out of both money and recording time), Missing Pieces has been completed for this vinyl pressing
The album is essentially a live recording of the band, with almost no overdubbing on the instruments. It is a fairly accurate representation of Bad Hat’s sound from 1993 until about 1997, when the band broke up.
PigDog Farm never got any fancy album art,UNTIL NOW!
Sadly on 11/25/2020 our vocalist Bill Hottenstein passed away.
For the 30th Anniversary of recording, Jim & Joe wanted to commemorate Bill with a limited 20 album numbered vinyl pressing. The first 4 are reserved for band members Numbers 5-20 are available autographed by Jim & Joe
